Sheepshead Fishing in Charleston

Sheepshead are available all year around in Charleston. Sheepshead are commonly 1 – 7 lbs and can reach over 15 lbs. They feed on fiddler crabs, shrimp, oyster, clam & barnacles. Sheepshead are caught using bait around structures such as pilings, piers, rocks and jettys. They are excellent eating.

SC Limits require a 14″ minimum length and 10 fish per person. Catch & Release is encouraged.
